Play Kapuas 88 on a Borneo Adventure

Kapuas 88 is an Asian-themed slot game with four progressive jackpots and an exciting free spins round. It's also available on mobile thanks to a free app, so you can play on the go and win real money prizes anytime, anywhere.

DAY 1 TAYAN TO SANGGAU You'll arrive at Tayan on the Kapuas River in Sarawak or Pontianak in Kalimantan after driving from Kuching (4-5 hours) or Pontianak (2-3 hours). After lunch, you'll cast off and make your way to Sanggau, a bustling river port. During the evening you'll have a walk around this picturesque town.

Day 2 SANGGAU TO SEKADAU From Sanggau, you'll make a long boat trip up the Sekayam river to see waterfalls and hot springs in the jungle. You'll stop at the beautiful village of Pancur Aljit to explore this little-known water world, and perhaps visit an orang-utan rehabilitation centre Kapuas 88.

This is a truly pioneering expedition into a rarely visited area of Borneo rainforest. The main attraction will be the scenery, wildlife and tribal village life.

Our one week trip will cover the upper part of the Kapuas River between Sanggau and Lanjak, a journey of over 500km that includes traversing the Denau Sentarum system of lakes that connect to the river. The journey will include walking in the forest, visiting tribal villages and seeing orang-utan and hornbills.

DAY 3 SEKADAU TO KAPUAS Our final day is spent on board the ship at Kuala Kapuas. We will be spending our time here in the rainforest, a unique habitat where many of the forest animals are endangered.

You'll have a chance to take in the stunning scenery and view wildlife such as the orang-utan, hornbills, tarsiers and frogs. You will also have the chance to swim in the warm water of the lake and explore the nearby national park, which is home to an abundance of birdlife including the crested hawk eagle.

The trip is suitable for couples and solo travellers alike, although you should consider that it's a long voyage and there may be times when the ship will be too full. You'll also need to be prepared for some rough seas, particularly in the tropics and during the rainy season.

DAY 4 SELIMBAU AMD SENTARUM NATIONAL PARK The morning will be spent exploring Selimbau, one of the most beautiful river towns in the area and built entirely on stilts. You'll be able to see the orang-utan at an rehabilitation centre and explore this lovely water world, a small lake connected to the river by a tributary channel.

This is a unique opportunity to get to know the remote regions of Sarawak and Kalimantan in an unhurried way. During your time on the boat you'll be accompanied by an experienced guide and the crew will provide a high level of comfort and support.

There is a good chance of rain in November, with a 62% chance of rain and averaging 0.64 inches (16.3 mm) per day. The wettest month in Kuala Kapuas is December, with an 84% chance of precipitation and 0.32 inches (8.1 mm) of rainfall.
